El Paso 4, Las Vegas 11
Jacob deGrom took the mound for the 51’s on Sunday and came away with the win. The 6’4 right-hander went just five innings, allowed three runs, walked a pair and struck out six. The Las Vegas offense exploded in the fifth inning for six runs, highlighted by homers off the bats of Danny Muno and soon-to-be Met Bobby Abreu. Muno finished the game going 4 for 4 at the dish with four RBI. Former Met Jeff Francoeur pitched a scoreless inning of relief after El Paso had exhausted their bullpen. Allan Dykstra would add a longball in the 6th inning as the 51’s would cruise to an easy victory.
Player Of The Night
Secondbasemen Danny Muno earned player of the night honors by going 4 for 4 with a homer and four RBI for the first place 51’s.
