Catcher Anthony Dimino and infielder Franklin Correa have been added to the Brooklyn Cyclones roster from the Kingsport Mets for tonight’s game.

Dimino, 23, was hitting .325/.437/.410 with seven stolen bases and 22 walks compared to only 20 strikeouts in 37 games for Kingsport. The left-handed hitter was drafted by the Mets in 2015 in the 28th round.

Correa is returning to the Cyclones after going 0 for 3 and actually pitching two scoreless innings for the Cyclones earlier this season. The 20-year old was hitting .214/.242/.272 with seven doubles, two triples and three home runs for Kingsport.

In other Cyclones news, infielder and 2016 23rd round Nick Sergakis will miss the rest of the season with a should injury accoring to Brooklyn Baseball Banter.

Columbia Fireflies right-hander Bryce Beeler returned to the mound last night for the first time since July 12th. He threw a scoreless inning with three strikeouts and for the season he has a 1.54 ERA and 0.90 WHIP in 23.1 innings.

Infielder Jonathan Johnson was sent back down to the St. Lucie Mets from the Binghamton Mets after going 2 for 4 with a walk on Wednesday night in his Double-A debut.

Kevin McGowan (Las Vegas 51s) and Tyler Bashlor (St. Lucie Mets) each made their team debuts on Thursday night. McGowan allowed a run in 1.2 innings while Bashlor allowed one run in his first Florida State League inning.

McGowan has gone 5-0 with a 1.93 ERA in 39 games including three spot starts in 2016. Bashlor has a 2.61 ERA overall this year to go along with 63 strikeouts in 48.1 innings.

Earlier today it was reported that the Mets traded minor league right-handed pitcher Richard Reina to the Toronto Blue Jays for cash considerations. Reina, 21, was 2-1 with a 6.32 ERA, 1.85 WHIP and walked 16 batters in 15.2 innings.

Right-hander Connor Buchmann has been added to the Kingsport roster after one appearance with the GCL Mets in which he threw three innings of one-run ball. He was suspended 50 games back in December of 2015 for testing positive for an amphetamine.
