Our Mets minor leaguers are knee deep in their Arizona Fall League action. While it’s going reasonably well for the guys on the hill, there are plenty of struggles going on at the plate. Hansel Robles and Chasen Bradford both looked great in the middle of the week, while Cam Maron, Aderlin Rodriguez, and Cory Vaughn are all having trouble getting into a groove at the plate.

Allan Dykstra had a career year for the Binghamton Mets of the Eastern League. In 372 at-bats, the big first baseman hit .274/.436/.503 with 21 home runs, 22 doubles, 102 walks, and 82 RBIs. This breakout performance earned him a nomination as the MiLB Offensive Player of the Year award.

The Mets haven’t started making any moves yet this offseason to improve their roster for 2014 on the field, but they’ve improved their off-field personnel with Will Carafello. New York hired Carafello as their new Director of Social Media for the organization.
