The New York Mets have added top prospect Amed Rosario, outfielder Wuilmer Becerra, catcher Tomas Nido, and right-handed pitchers Chris Flexen, and Marcos Molina to the 40-man roster according to MiLB Roster Tracker on Twitter. The Mets 40-man roster is now currently full.
Each will be protected from being selected in the Rule 5 Draft and automatically receive invites to major league spring training.
Some players that have been left exposed and have a chance of getting drafted on December 8 include RHP Paul Sewald, RHP Kevin McGowan, OF Champ Stuart, and infielder Phillip Evans.
A little surprised at Flexen but agree on all the others
I can see teams taking chances on Sewald, McGowan, Evans or Stewart
With all the infielders and outfielders why do we need Ty Kelly ?
Would it not been better to protect Sewald or , McGowan ?
To add Sewald or McGowan it would be Goeddel on the chopping block.
Evans will be picked up fast in the rule 5 draft BA has him as one of the cream of the crop – http://www.baseballamerica.com/minors/2016-rule-5-draft-preview/
