Mets Select Local Kid Josh Prevost In The Fifth Round

With their fifth round pick, the 145th overall, the Mets selected RHP Josh Prevost out of Seton Hall University.

He was ranked 140th on the Baseball America Top 500.

Prevost is a massive 6’8 200 pound right-hander posted a 1.62 ERA in 15 started for Seton Hall. He also struck out 111 and had a minuscule .158 batting average against.
