As reported by the Mets, they have signed 27 year old, RHP Miguel Socolovich and invite him to Spring Training.

Socolovich made his made his major league debut with the Orioles in 2012 and then was selected off waivers by the Cubs. In that season he was 0-0, 6.06 ERA, with 12 strikeouts in 16.1 innings. He was granted free agency in 2012 and on November 15, 2012, he signed a contract to play this past season in Japan with the Hiroshima Toyo Carp, and in 11 games he was 0-2, .079 ERA, with 6 strikeouts in 11.1 innings.
