Nimmo hit a couple of balls hard, including the homer that went 410 feet, and another far into the warning track. Cecchini’s double was on a misread ball that was supposed to be a sac fly but the fielder didn’t read how hard of a hit it was.

The B-Mets offense backed up right-hander Gsellman with an 18-hit offensive explosion. Sabol and Oberste both launched home runs for the squad. Boyd made his season debut in the 3-hole for the B-Mets after being activated before the game. Dale Burdick was sent down to the Brooklyn Cyclones roster.

Gsellman continues to pitch very well, giving up only two runs. Taylor was excellent out of the bullpen yet again with a four-strikeout performance in two innings. It has been a night-and-day difference between April and May for Morris giving up eight runs in 10.1 runs in April, and only one in 12 innings in May.
Fort Myers 4 (Minnesota), St. Lucie 0 (25-26)

The St. Lucie Mets were were 2-hit by Minnesota top prospect Tyler Jay through eight innings, while striking out eleven times.

Prevost and Coles didn’t fare very well. Taylor continues to excel in the Florida State League. Prevost was struck in the head by a line drive come-backer in the seventh inning which bounced off to Guillorme, who completed the play. He left the game but on his own power thankfully.

Kaczmarski hit a go-ahead bases-clearing double in the fifth inning. Winningham hit his third career triple. Thompson was activated off the DL before the game. Catcher Tyler Moore was placed on the 7-day DL to make room.

Canelon has had nine starts in a row with five or more innings and has pitched six innings or more seven out of those nine times. Palsha has given up only two runs in his last 10 appearances. Righty Witt Haggard was activated off the DL while righty Nicco Blank was sent to the Brooklyn roster to make room.

Winningham and his lack of power has certainly been one of the bigger minor league disappointments.

I think he has definitely shown more power this year, gap wise at least.
I would say yes but then the question becomes is that where he is most valuable. But ya I think with Wright most likely going on DL they should get him reps there.
