BOX SCORE

The 51s scored eight runs for the third straight game beating the Los Angeles Angels Triple-A Affiliate 8-5. The 51s won the series against Salt Lake 3-1.

Taijeron is hitting .350 in his last ten. Johnny Monell hit his third homerun in the last seven games, he has hit .325 with three homeruns and eight runs batted in, in his last ten games. Dilson Herrera was out of the lineup and Gavin Cecchini was leading off with two walks.

Although Montero got the win he has not pitched well. In his last five starts, Montero has allowed at least four earned runs. Montero went six or more for only the fourth time in 13 starts this season. Josh Edgin had another scoreless outing, he has 13.1 innings without allowing an earned run in Triple-A this season.

The St. Lucie Mets played their first game since the FSL All Star Weekend. They beat Palm Beach by a 2-0 final score.

Guillorme had another multi-hit game, he is batting .441 over his last ten games. Leadoff hitter Champ Stuart had another good game and is batting .324 over his last ten, scoring six runs over that span.

After not getting out of the third inning in his last start, Flexen bounced back with an eight inning performance on Monday. It was the third time this season Flexen pitched seven or more innings and it was his third scoreless outing of the season. Ben Griset got his second save. He has allowed just three earned runs in 22.2 innings this season pitching to a 1.01 WHIP.

Joel Huertas got his first start with the Brooklyn Cyclones. Over his minor league career Huertas pitched to a 4-4 record with a 4.97 ERA in 20 games (11 starts). Sante Marte got the loss as he allowed four runs in the top of the 17th. He was already the third position player to make an appearance on the hill this year for Brooklyn.

The DSL Mets1 lost their sixth in a row against the DSL Indians. The DSL Mets1 recorder just five hits and where 0 for 8 with runners in scoring position.

Gregory Guerrero had his fourth multi hit game of his pro career. He was the only player for the DSL Mets1 with two or more hits. Guillermo Granadillo hit his fourth double of the season. Claudio Geraldo drove in his seventh run in 13 games.

Boris Sanchez pitched four innings for the second time in his first three outings. Before this outing Sanchez had allowed just one earned run in 7.1 innings. His ERA raised from 1.23 to 3.97 after his outing Monday. Joel Romero made his first appearance of the season with two scoreless innings. Jorge Cespedes allowed a run in his first pro outing.
