Kevin Kaczmarski

Las Vegas 51s 6 (52-51), Fresno Grizzlies 3 (Astros, 55-47) Box Score

Taijeron has hit 15 home runs this year, but has struck out 120 times in 340 plate appearances. Mets Triple-A squad may have the opportunity to switch to Rochester (Writer’s note…Please please please) in 2017.

Zeid made a spot start in Vegas and did an excellent job in seven innings. Walters has been disappointingly ineffective in 2016.

Reading Fightins 11 (Phillies, 70-34) Binghamton Mets 3 (48-54) Box Score

Dominic Smith was pulled after the third inning after not running out a ground ball. Evans has slugged .545 in July. Amed Rosario continues to miss time with a sore lower body. Jayce Boyd had two hits that extended his hitting streak to 11 games.

Taylor has allowed nine earned runs in eleven innings in July. Jannis has been very inconsistent as a starter in 2016.

Bradenton Marauders 4 (Pirates, 53-47), St. Lucie Mets 0 (53-46) Box Score

Nido leads the Florida State League in batting average currently. Kaczmarski has been on fire since being promoted to St. Lucie. The team couldn’t score despite drawing five walks off the starter. Wuilmer Becerra had surgery for a partially torn labrum, missing the rest of the year.

Barbosa now has 7.1 scoreless rehab innings for St. Lucie. This was the first hiccup for Palsha since joining St. Lucie on 7/14.

Bluefield Blue Jays 6 (16-16), Kingsport Mets 4 (13-16) Box Score

Jose Maria allowed three passed balls as Kingsport’s catcher defense has proven to be subpar this year. Rasquin has slowed down significantly, and is 3 for his last 17.

Uceta has been squared up quite a bit despite having great stuff. Johnson has strung two scoreless outings in a row after giving up six runs and not recording a hit.

DSL Mets1 4 (26-18), DSL Yankees1 3 (22-22) Box Score

The team walked off in the 13th inning after Valdez is singled in by Guillermo Granadillo.

DSL Red Sox2 2 (30-15), DSL Mets2 1 (15-30) Box Score

The team was one-hit for the second day in a row.

Angela is the less heralded Dutch player signed prior to the season.
