- Justin Ruggiano RF: 0 for 5 (3 for 11)
- Michael Conforto CF: 4 for 4, 2B, 3 R, .425/.483/.738

- Robert Gsellman RHP: 6 IP, 6 H, 4 ER, 6 BB, 4 K (5.73)
- Marc Krauss 1B: Came in to get the last out, only batter grounded out
Gsellman had his streak of five straight quality starts snapped but did flash a 97 MPH fastball in his outing, including one to strikeout out the powerful Joey Gallo (who later tagged him for a two-run shot).
Binghamton Mets 9 (57-65), New Hampshire Fisher Cats 1 (Toronto, 59-64) Box Score
- Jonathan Johnson 2B 2 for 4, BB
- Phillip Evans 3B 3 for 5, 2B, RBI .320/.358/482
- Amed Rosario SS 1 for 5, 2 K .319/.369/.465
- Dominic Smith 1B, 0 for 2, 3 BB, K .296/.359/.454
This was Johnson’s debut, and he’s older, but he can really hit. Speaking of hitting, Evans is locked in right now. Rosario is 1 for his last 21, which means either the league has adjusted, or his leg injury has lingered. Not sure which would surprise me more. Smith is hitting .393/.469/.554 in August, his second straight great month.
- Ricky Knapp RHP 6.1 IP, 6 H, ER, 2 BB, 8 K 3.33 ERA
- Alberto Baldonado LHP 2 IP, 4 H, 4 K 4.68 ERA
Knapp has been really good this year. He has an arm that is 87-93 with a few different breaking balls. According to reports, Baldonado hit 95 on the gun tonight.

- Tomas Nido C 0 for 3, SF .316/.352/.464
Kaczmarski is tearing up the Florida State League. Nido has been excellent this year, and I have an article about how he’s still a prospect. Please please please check it out! Cabrera and Cespedes each played six innings in the field and are ready to rejoin the Mets.
- Casey Delgado RHP 7.2 IP, 7 H, 3 R, 2 ER, BB, 7 K 3.18 ERA
This is Delgado’s comfort level of the minors. He didn’t do well in Double-A.

Church hasn’t struggled with control much this year, walking 22 in 84.2 innings pitched. The bullpen gave up four runs in the bottom of the 9th including a walk-off wild pitch.

- Blake Tiberi 3B 1 for 4, K .237/.318/.289
Lindsay has a 16/15 BB/K in 21 games. Mets college draftees aside from Peter Alonso have been disappointing, but I don’t judge by the first year. Paez stole third.
- Merandy Gonzalez RHP 5 IP, 3 H, R, BB, 7 K 3.09 ERA
According to one of our writers at the game, Gonzalez was throwing 93-95 with confidence in his curve, and aggressively goes after hitters.

- Luis Carpio DH 1 for 4, 2 K .278/.350/.444

- Eulises Sanchez CF 2 for 4 .224/.323/.236
- Ezequiel Pena LF 1 for 3, 2B .188/.278/.250
The DSL Mets2 team is hitting .236 in general.
Conforto is just too good for Vegas. Hopefully whatever he’s doing down there translates to the major league level.
Is .469 OBP good?
Ty Kelly laughs at it.
Watched him hit an opposite field line drive off a lefty last night that was very encouraging no matter where he’s playing.
That’s good. We really need him to rebound in 2017. I think next year you need to go with an OF of Cespedes/Conforto/Bruce. With Duda coming back to play 1b you could have a very good middle of the order. We just need to figure out what we are doing with the left side of the infield.
agreed that could be a very potent middle of the order, big question is what the heck to do with Grandy.
Grandy will have to accept a reduced role. He’s not getting it done.
Gsellman pitched pretty good but that homer that Joey Gallo hit went alonggg way.
Dude has some serious power
But he doesn’t fit at a reduced role though, Mets have to find a way to shed that contract.
