Our own Jacob Resnick announced that Mets shortstop prospect Luis Carpio will join the Brooklyn Cyclones.
The GCL Mets, DSL Mets1 and DSL Mets2 were off.
The Binghamton Mets and Kingsport Mets were Postponed due to bad weather.
The St. Lucie Mets played three innings before they were suspended. P.J. Conlon pitched three scoreless and Kevin Taylor drove in the only run. The game will resume on Friday at Tradition Field.
Gotta bring Conforto back. Gotta roll the dice and hope everything falls into place over the last 6 weeks.
Conforto, Cespedes, Bruce, etc…..all red hot.
It’s actually the pitching now that is the major problem. Cards series is pivotal.
“Michael Conforto keeps on hitting after his being dowt to Triple-A. Since then, Conforto is 18 for 32 with four doubles, three home runs and seven RBI.”
But… But… it doesn’t count because it’s Vegas. I mean, I know he’s hitting over .500 since coming back, but I mean Eric Campbell is probably hitting at least .600 and he sucks. Everyone hits at least .500 there. Oh wait, the Vegas team average is .288 and the team OPS is .814. I guess that Conforto guy is pretty good.
Also, good to see Carpio going to Brooklyn. It looks like this won’t be a completely lost season and if they like what they see in Brooklyn, they’ll probably start him in Columbia next year. He’s still only 19, and he just turned 19 a month ago.
Despite a sophomore slump, I think Conforto will still become one of the best hitters in the league. He has too much talent.
Facing an all RH lineup and Wally followed the LH starter with 2 southpaws. Not exactly putting players in best chance to succeed.
#FreeWally from the organization
Outside of Yo our man Conforto is the most talented hitter on their 40man roster.
I’d prefer he be coached by NEW people next year. If not, I don’t know.
As I’ve said before the Mets now have a history going on 5yrs of all hitting prospects seeing their mlb numbers drop considerably from their milb ones. Prospects often dont work out but this seems like a pattern.
But Wally’s bullpen management is so much better than Terry’s. Said by all the Mets fans who have never looked at a minor league recap/AAA box score. The reality of course is that Wally is 100 times worse than Terry. Pedro Lopez should and will be our manager in 2018.
My fear is its Tueffel
Could not agree more. Pedro Lopez should be the next manager. From everything i have read about Pedro over the last 2 years he is very respected as a manager. Knows how and when to get the best from his players. And with more and more of our players making it to the majors Pedro would be the perfect fit. Also agree Wally would be worse than Terry.
