Cecchini played second base for the the third time in the last four games. Brandon Nimmo only made an appearance as a pinch runner, he will enter the final game of the season with a four point lead over teammate T.J. Rivera for the PCL batting title.

Edgin allowed a walk-off single to Brendan Ryan to end the game. The 51s offense scored only one run in 7 innings off Tim Lincecum.

Smith left the game in the for a pinch runner in the 4th inning without any injury given but it was a blow out at that point. Rosario is hitting .400 over his last ten games but also has 13 strikeouts in that span. Evans goes into the final day trailing Aneury Tavarez of the Portland Sea Dogs by five points for the batting title.

Vinny Siena, Jonathan Johnson and Lednier Ricardo each had two hits in the game. Nido finished the season batting .320, good enough to secure the Florida State League batting title.

Oswalt made his first start for St. Lucie since June 15th because of injury and was let down by his defense. Reyes hit 96 MPH coming out of the bullpen, exactly where he should have been this whole season.
