Box Score

The 51s stranded 13 runners in this game, and couldn’t break through until the seventh.  Urena played a key role in that inning hitting an RBI triple.  In his just second game in Triple-A, Urena collected his first hit, extra base hit, and RBI.

The Aces jumped all over Atkins with a three run first inning.  Atkins has now allowed three plus runs in three of his last four starts.

Portland Seas Dogs (60-68) 2 vs. Binghamton Rumble Ponies (76-52) 1

Box Score

The Rumble Ponies squandered their opportunities going 0-10 with runners in scoring position. Peter Alonso was the DH batting fifth in his Rumble Ponies debut.  He went 0-4 getting robbed of extra bases twice.

With rumors Molina may start on Sunday, he threw 103 pitches over seven innings. Molina pitched a solid game but, two walks in the fifth hurt him as the both came around to score. Peterson kept his great season going with a perfect innings.

Charlotte Stone Crabs (65-61) 10 vs. St. Lucie Mets (57-70) 3 F/7

Tebow collected two hits today and has collected just five over his last eleven games  Tebow is now hitting .221/.303/.343 in the minors this season.  David Wright did not appear in this game despite being available to play.

Gonzalez allowed two home runs over his 3.2 innings pitched in his second start for St. Lucie.  Gorzelanny was roughed up in his third game back from the Disabled List.  It was the first time he has allowed an earned run in his five appearances this season.

Greenville Drive (72-57) 10 vs. Columbia Fireflies (65-63) 0

Box Score

The Fireflies were 0-9 with RISP in the shutout loss.  With his two hits, Jabs now has a three game hitting streak.

Justin Bradley had a tale of two stories in his start. He allowed to most runs in an outing in his career but, also got the most strikeouts in his career. Brantley settled down in the third and the fourth after allowing 9 runs in the first two innings.

DSL Mets 1 (42-27) 3 vs. DSL Rockies (34-35) 0

Box Score

The DSL Mets 1 collected just five hits in a shutout win. Jose Mena hit his first pro home run with a solo shot in the seventh.

The DSL Mets 1 allowed just two hits and one walk in a shutout victory. Leon collected his eighth win of the season in his first season as a starter.  Mena collected his first save as a professional pitcher.

DSL Rangers 2 (45-24) 5 vs. DSL Mets 2 (49-20) 2

Box Score

The DSL Mets 2 outhit the DSL Rangers 2 but where only 1-11 with runners in scoring position. Santana collected his second four hit game of the season.

Jose Butto has been solid in his first pro season pitching to a 1.44 ERA in 50 innings.
