Sacramento River Cats (6-11) 7, Las Vegas 51s (9-9) 6   Box Score

Rosario extended his hitting streak to nine games. He is hitting .444 over those nine games. Cecchini has been in a slump, hitting only .158 over his last ten games. Phillip Evans and Matt Reynolds also had two hits in the game.

Montero made his first start of the season and was outstanding, only allowing two baserunners and not walking a single batter. McGowan had a rough outing, but has been dominant to start the year. Beck Wheeler came in to pitch the tenth inning and recieved the loss after gaving up the walk-off single.

Binghamton Rumble Ponies (7-7) 2, Erie SeaWolves (8-7) 1  Box Score

The Binghamton offense scored both their runs in the 2nd inning on RBI singles up the middle by Guillorme and Colton Plaia.

Jannis continues to do an excellent job at limiting runs, although he has walked more batters than he’s struck out so far in 2017. Baldonado has been dominant out of the bullpen so far, mainly because he’s been able to do a much better job at limiting walks. The SeaWolves got their only run off of Taylor, who has struggled so far this year.

Daytona Tortugas (10-8) 7, St. Lucie Mets (7-11) 6    Box Score

Jhoan Urena has been excellent over his last ten games, hitting .394 and walking twelve times. Anthony Dimino also drove in two runs on a fifth inning double.

Church has been struggling to miss many bats so far this season, only striking out 4.5 batters per nine innings. Palsha came into the game looking for the save and ended up giving up a lead off single, followed by a walk off home run.

Lexington Legends (7-11), Columbia Fireflies (10-8) 2   Box Score

The Fireflies couldn’t get anything going offensively for the first eight innings of the game. They rallied in the 9th inning, scoring two runs on three hits and a walk, but came up short when Milton Ramos struck out to end the game.

Blake Taylor was cruising through the first three innings before giving up one run in the fourth and three runs in the fifth. He has struggled with command in his first full season back from Tommy John surgery, walking ten batters in sixteen innings. Zanghi bounced back from two poor outings and threw two scoreless innings in relief.
