The right-hander pitched four scoreless innings to start his outing, then allowed a run on a single in the fifth inning. In the sixth, Worley surrendered a solo home run to give Rochester a two-run lead. In the eighth inning, Kilome gave up a solo home run to catcher Keibert Ruiz – a top prospect dealt from Los Angeles to Washington in the trade for Max Scherzer and Trea Turner.

Butto got the nod and tossed six scoreless innings to earn the win, his first victory since being promoted to Binghamton. After getting the first two outs in the first, Butto allowed back-to-back singles, then a wild pitch moved the runners to second and third. He struck out the next Portland batter to get out of the jam. Winans and Orze combined to pitch in three scoreless innings in the shutout.

Edgardo Fermin had a single in the second, the lone Brooklyn hit on Tuesday. The Cyclones failed to score against Hudson Valley.

Vilera took the hill on Tuesday and turned in a strong outing. The righty allowed two runs, one of which was unearned, on six hits and one walk in 5 ⅔ innings. Vilera struck out the first two Hudson Valley batters of the game, then a batter reached base on a fielding error by first baseman Cody Bohanek.
