Las Vegas (34-44) 3, Tacoma (41-37) 2 Box Score

The 51s scored all three runs in the eighth inning including an RBI double by Patrick Kivlehan. He was 4-for-4 with three doubles.

Trenton (43-33) 10, Binghamton (36-39) 3 Box Score

The Rumble Ponies lineup does not excite many following the promotions of Jeff McNeil and Peter Alonso. Michael is the teams best hitter right now since those two got promoted. The Twins first rounder back in 2011 has been decent for the Rumble Ponies. Tim Tebow was 0-for-4.

Marcos Molina really has no place on a 40-man roster anymore. It’s unfortunate what his career has come to but some guys just don’t recover from Tommy John. Roseboom is quite the case. He dominates Binghamton but has struggled in Vegas. At this point, I just say move him up and let him sink or swim. Either that or let him skip Vegas. The Mets need to see what they have with him and clearly Binghamton isn’t a challenge.

Jupiter (43-31) 1, St. Lucie (27-44) 0 Box Score

The St. Lucie Mets only had four hits last night and only managed five baserunners. Andres Gimenez has struggled in June but his strikeout rate and walk rates are fine compared to the rest of the season.

Gonzalez has been really solid despite the win-loss record. His ERA has been low but is not missing as many bats as he should. I think he will eventually need to move to the bullpen but why not see what he can do in the rotation? He is getting, what we as Mets fans refer to as, “deGrom’d.”

Brooklyn (9-3) 4, Lowell (5-7) 3 Box Score

  • Jose Brizuela 3B: 1-for-2, Run, 2 BB, .324/.395/.622
  • Ross Adolph CF: 1-for-4, Run, K, .294/.359/.500
  • Kendall Coleman LF: 2-for-4, 2 RBI, K, .211/.250/.368

The Cyclones continue their winning ways. Ross Adolph has been solid so far in Brooklyn and has gotten some solid reviews so far. Coleman had the walk-off hit. The Mets got Coleman from the Yankees in exchange for L.J. Mazzilli.

James appeared a bit more mortal last night. That said, I think he got a little unlucky and has kept the walks down. Colon has an impressive 12 strikeouts in 30 batters faced. He is a little old for the league but it is still impressive to see nonetheless.
