Urena picked up his third multi-hit game in his last five. He is hitting .412 over his last ten games. Wuilmer Becerra scored two runs collecting one hit. Jeff Diehl had the only St. Lucie extra base hit in the loss.

After a great start in his last start Church struggled today allowing six earned runs in just three innings of work. Adam Atkins and Cameron Griffin both allowed a run in the loss. Johnny Magliozzi was the only St. Lucie pitcher with a scoreless outing.
Columbia Fireflies game was postponed.
Urena is hitting like he belongs in AA, but 10 errors is a little concerning. Kid could actually be a 1B (or, you know, a DH.). Error totals in the minors are not destiny, of course. But let’s hope that the bat we’re finally seeing is real and that the glove is going to be ok.
Guillorme just seems to be on a mission. He apparently put on some muscle weight this year, he looked great in ST, has hit everything thrown at him early on in the season, and the dugout no-flinch bat catch says that he’s just an overall bad ass. With that glove, if he really has taken a giant step forward offensively then we definitely have a big leaguer here.
David Thompson only had a half year at PSL in 2016. and is hitting .190 at Bingo. Lets swap them out and when Thompson bounces back you can have them both in AA. Looks like one of them will be the 3B for the Mets in late 2018 or 2019 with the Captain in the broadcast booth.
I think Thompson may have been rushed up a bit. probably a switch out of 3B will happen since Urena is raking and clearly is ready for the promotion. Captain I think will be a coach for the team, he loves baseball. Although he’s got the good looks and baseball knowledge for the Camera. 3B is interesting spot bc it seems like Cabrera will take over there once Rosario comes up. I could see Wilmer at 3B or the pipe dream being Mets sign Machado.
Guillorme is becoming a favorite of mine. I just want him to keep hitting to push the brass to think they have another middle infield starter. I think his floor now is back up middle infielder now but can be capable of more and he’s just 22
