Recovering Major-Leaguer T.J. Rivera led the charge for the Mets as his eighth-inning RBI gave the Mets their third run. Andres Gimenez and Luis Carpio also had strong games as the Mets top prospect recorded three hits and was just a homer away from the cycle. Meanwhile, Carpio recorded his third career four-hit game. In his last two games, he’s six for his last ten with a double. Ali Sanchez‘s seven-game hitting streak was snapped with his 0-for-3 showing.

After struggling in a quick spot start for Binghamton, Cavallaro was sent down to St. Lucie, where he impressed in his first start. Cavallaro turned in a quality start for the ninth time this season. Cavallaro’s been one of best pitchers in the Mets system this year and he continued his success with his dominating outing. The Stone Crabs made a ton of contact against McIIraith throughout his 2.2 innings of work but managed to limit the damage and hold them to only one run. With Charlotte threatening in the ninth, Matt Poberkyo retired Tristan Gray to close out the game.

Kingsport Mets (11-8) 13, Greeneville (6-13) 12 Box

The Jarred Kelenic show finally showed up in Kingsport. The teenager went 2-for-4 with a clutch eighth-inning homer in his Kingsport debut. But he was far from the only offensive star. Aside from the second and fourth innings, the Mets scored in every single frame. The Mets other 2018 draft pick in the lineup, Hayden Senger had another nice night as he got on base twice and threw out a Reds runners attempting to take second. But the hero of the night was Yoel Romero who notched three hits, including a walk-off homer to cap a wild night.

As much as we can celebrate how great Kingsport’s offense was, all it means was how awful Kingsport’s pitching was. The majority of Greenville’s damage came from a seven-run seventh. Liam McCall‘s line was horrendous and as a result, his ERA rose more than five runs. After Greenville tied the game, Marbin Montijo relieved McCall, but proceeded to give Greenville the lead on a Robert Boselli III homer.

Acosta started the contest and fared well, giving up two runs over four innings. Luis Silva retired his only batter in the eighth and even though Andrew Mitchell blew the save, he still received the win.

GCL Mets(13-7) 5, GCL Nats(8-11) 3 Box

• RHP Oscar Rojas (W, 3-1, 3.57 ERA): 6 IP,6 H, 3 ER, 4 K, BB

Facing off against rehabbing Nationals Victor Robles, Alejandro de Aza and Koda Glover, Rojas pitched pretty well, with a three-run second being the only blemish on his final line. He retired 10 out of his final 11 batters while recording his second consecutive quality start.

• Ronny Mauricio SS: 1-3, HR, R, 3 RBI, .359/.345/.551

The GCL is quickly turning into the Ronny Mauricio show! The 17-year-old continued his outstanding offensive production with a go-ahead homer, his second of the year. If he can show more plate discipline, the Mets have something special here. Mauricio has a 19-game hitting streak to begin his career. The Mets ran wild on Nats catcher Tyler Cropley, recording five stolen bases.

The Las Vegas 51s, the Binghamton Rumble Ponies, the Brooklyn Cyclones and the Columbia Fireflies were all off yesterday.

The DSL 1 and DSL 2 Mets’ games were postponed.
