Round Rock Express (23-26) 7, Las Vegas 51s (19-30) 3  Box Score

Smith launched a home run to left center field in the first inning. After jumping ahead earlier, the 51s were unable to get another run across until Cruzado singled home Rosario and Smith in the eighth inning.

Wheeler made the spot start in place of Tyler Pill, who was called up to the New York Mets yesterday. Wheeler did not pitch well in the first start of his career, throwing only 11 of his 36 pitches for strikes and leaving with the bases loaded in the second inning. Kevin McGowan allowed all three inherited runners to score. Robles pitched a scoreless eighth in his first game with Las Vegas.

Binghamton Rumble Ponies (27-15) 5, Hartford Yard Goats (21-25) 4  Box Score

The Rumble Ponies scored four runs in the first inning and added one more in the third on Kaczmarski’s second home run of the season. Champ Stuart stole his 17th base of the season which leads the Eastern League.

After giving up four runs in the first three innings, Delgado settled in and managed to go six innings in his start. Burns and Peterson combined to strikeout five batters in three scoreless innings of relief.

St Lucie Mets (24-25) 5, Clearwater Threshers (27-22) 2  Box Score

Cespedes played six innings in left field during his first rehab game coming back from a hamstring injury. Alonso, playing in his first game since breaking his hand on April 11, hit a home run in the fifth inning.

Shaw had one of his better starts of the season, pitching into the seventh inning, while tying a season high with 7 strikeouts. Bashlor continues to rack up the strikeouts, as he has now struck out 30 batters in only 17.0 innings pitched this season.

Lexington Legends (23-25) 5, Columbia Fireflies (23-22) 2 Box Score

The Fireflies offense was only able score two runs on five hits in this game. Winningham drove in both of the runs, driving in Michael Paez with a double in the fourth inning and driving in Lindsay with a RBI groundout in the eighth.

Taylor has had mixed results in his first season back from Tommy John Surgery. Taylor gave up two-run home runs in the first and fifth innings and was taken out in the sixth inning after throwing 98 pitches.
