El Paso (71-52) 8, Las Vegas (61-63) 2 Box Score
- Peter Alonso 1B: 0-4, BB, .242/.349/.540
- Dominic Smith LF: 1-5, K, .255/.330/.387
- Patrick Kivlehan 3B: 1-4, HR, RBI, K, .299/.347/.525
- Jose Lobaton C: 2-3, BB, .360/.443/.590
Alonso has entered a mini-slump after becoming inhuman for a few weeks, as he is now just 1 for his last 17. However, that one hit was a home run and he has a good 3/4 BB/K ratio in that short stretch. Kivlehan has been mashing the ball lately with five homers in his last five games and is now slugging .909 in August. Bryce Brentz also homered in the loss as Vegas went 0-8 with runners in scoring position.
- RHP Drew Gagnon (L, 5-5, 4.0 IP, 6 H, 5 R, 3 BB, 5 K
- RHP Logan Taylor (1-1, 6.19 ERA): 1.0 IP, 3 H, 2 R, 0 BB, 2 K
- LHP Ian Krol (3-0, 2.81 ERA): 2.0 IP, 3 H, R, 2 BB, 2 K
- RHP Chris Beck (1-0, 7.11 ERA): 1.0 IP, 0 H, 0 R, 0 BB, 2 K
It was a bit of a struggle for the PCL’s strikeout leader, as it took him 94 pitches just to get through four innings. He has actually been somewhat impressive at times this season but overall has still been inconsistent. Krol has been a nice pickup, posting a 3.56 ERA through 21 games with Vegas so far, despite a .315 opponents batting average and 1.88 WHIP. Eight of Beck’s last ten appearances have been scoreless, but with a lot of baserunners.

The Rumble Ponies offense only had six hits in the game, but they still managed to push across five runs. Terdoslavich put the first run on the board with a home run in the third. He has been extremely hot in August and has a .333/.414/.529 slash line for the month. After a strong July, Tomas Nido has completely cooled off and, with his 0-for-3 game on Friday, is hitting just .139/.190/.222.
- RHP Franklyn Kilome (4-7, 3.99 ERA) 6.0 IP, 4 H, 2 ER, 2 BB, 7 K
- RHP Steve Villines (W, 1-0, 3.86 ERA) 1.1 IP, H, ER, BB, 2 K

As was the case in his last start, Kilome cruised through five scoreless innings before giving up a couple of runs in the later innings. Villines gave up his first earned run since joining the Rumble Ponies, snapping a streak of 15 straight scoreless appearances. Torres has been similarly dominant out of the Binghamton bullpen and has a 54:13 K:BB ratio in 41.1 innings pitched.
St. Lucie (50-70) 2, Dunedin (61-62) 1 Box Score
- Jay Bruce RF: 0-for-3, 2 K, .222/.300/.222

- Gene Cone CF: 1-for-3, 2B, 2 RBI, .237/.298/.275
The Mets offense didn’t have much life in Friday night’s game as the team could score just two runs and only had two at bats with a runner in scoring position during the entire game. Both runs scored in the second, in which Cone doubled home Vasquez and Quinn Brodey. Bruce played seven innings in right field in his third rehab game.
- LHP David Peterson (W, 4-6, 5.24 ERA) 5.0 IP, 2 H, 3 BB, 5 K

- RHP Matt Pobereyko (S, 2-3, 3.26 ERA) 1.0 IP
Peterson had his third straight strong start with St. Lucie as he looks to have a strong finish to an up-and-down season. He didn’t have his best control, as seen by his three walks and high pitch count (86 pitches), but he didn’t allow a run to cross the plate for the second straight start. Over his last three starts, Peterson has allowed 2 earned runs in 17.0 innings and has a 20:3 K:BB ratio.
Columbia (55-63) vs. West Virginia (61-56)
Columbia’s game against the West Virginia Power was cancelled due to rain. Because the two teams are not scheduled to face each other for the rest of the season, the game will not be made up.
Brooklyn (32-25) vs. Hudson Valley (33-24)
Brooklyn’s game against the Renegades was suspended due to rain in the bottom of the third inning. The Cyclones were leading 2-0, with a Ross Adolph home run providing all of the offense. The game will be resumed on Saturday at 5:05 PM with a seven-inning game to follow.

- RHP Christian Tripp (0-0, 4.70 ERA) 2.0 IP, H, ER, K
It was a rough night all around for Kingsport pitchers as each pitcher allowed at least one earned run and the four pitchers combined to allow eight runs on twelve hits. Rojas has allowed at least three runs in each of his last four starts and has seen his season ERA rise from 2.67 to 4.29 over that span.
