MMN Recap: Ronny Mauricio Collects Three Hits for Brooklyn

Stranton/Wilkes-Barre RailRiders 4 (26-11), Syracuse Mets 2 (11-28) Box Score

Conforto played five innings in the field while McNeil and Almora played the entire game. Designated hitter Travis Blankenhorn went 2-for-4 with a double, he’s now 4-for-10 with two home runs since being sent to Syracuse.

First baseman Cheslor Cuthbert provided the only Mets runs in the game with a two-run homer in the fourth inning.

The Mets bullpen threw well today as they combined to threw 4 and 2/3 allowing only one run. Oswalt got the start and made his longest appearance of the season, he began the year in the Syracuse bullpen.

Portland Sea Dogs 4 (23-16), Binghamton Rumble Ponies 1 (11-27) Box Score

The Rumble Ponies lost a close one as Mark Vientos was tossed after arguing balls and strikes with the umpire as he was walking back to the dugout in the seventh inning.

Third baseman Yoel Romero had two hits in the game and left fielder Quinn Brodey drove in the only Binghamton run with a ninth inning sac fly.

The Mets 32nd round Pick of 2019 continues to impress as he threw six innings today allowing one run. Gordon has made three straight starts (3.24 ERA) after he seven relief appearances to start the season.

Wilmington Blue Rocks 8 (20-17), Brooklyn Cyclones 4 (11-25) Box Score

The Mets top prospects continue to flex their power as Mauricio and Alvarez provided three extra base hits on the night. Left fielder Blake Tiberi was the Cyclones offensive star of the night with his first home run of the season and a double, he knocked in two runs.

Otanez threw 2 and 2/3 no-hit innings today, though he did walk a batter and has issued 13 walks in 12 2/3 innings this season. Starter Alec Kisena gave up six runs in 3 1/3 innings and hard throwing Bryce Montes De Oca gave up two runs in two innings out of the pen.

St. Lucie Mets 7 (21-18), Jupiter Hammerheads 3 (20-19) Box Score

The Mets snapped their four-game losing streak despite going 2-for-16 with runners in scoring position. St. Lucie stole six bases in the game led by Palmer with three, he now has 11 for the season.

The 19-year-old Junior Santos pitched a career-high six innings after pitching five scoreless innings in his last start. Reliever Reyson Santos pitched a perfect ninth inning with two strikeouts.
