Nido, Guillorme Headline Five Rumble Ponies Eastern League All Stars

In what has been a good inaugural year for the Binghamton Rumble Ponies, the team is sending five teams to the Eastern League All Star Game.  The five players are C Tomas Nido, INF Luis Guillorme, LHP P.J. Conlon, RHP Corey Oswalt, and OF Kevin TaylorThis is the first year in Double-A for all five players.

The 23 year old Nido is hitting .254/.293/.392 with 12 doubles, one triple, five homers, and 33 RBI.  This is the third All-Star Game for Nido with him being a Sally League All Star in 2015 and a Florida State League All Star last year.

The 22 year old slick fielding Guillorme has been sensational in the field at both second base and shortstop.  On the season, he is hitting .293/.354/.341 with 13 doubles, 19 RBI, and four stolen bases.  This is the first All Star Game for the infielder.

The 23 year old soft tossing Conlon has made 15 starts this season going 5-6 with a 4.15 ERA, 1.22 WHIP, and a 7:2 strikeout to walk ratio.  Conlon was selected as the May 7th Eastern League Pitcher of the Week.  This is Conlon’s second All Star Game with him being selected as a Sally League All Star last season.

The 23 year old starter Oswalt has made 12 starts going 5-3 with a 2.13 ERA, 1.15 WHIP, and a 5:2 strikeout to walk ratio.  This is Oswalt’s second All Star Game selection with him being selected as a New York Penn League All Star in 2014.

The 25 year old Taylor has played in 62 games hitting ..308/.401/.407 with 12 doubles, three homers, 24 RBI, and two stolen bases.  This is Taylor’s first All Star selection.

The Eastern League All Star Game is scheduled for July 12th at Northeast Delta Dental Stadium in Manchester, NH.
