Prospects Live released their Top 100 Prospects list on Friday, and four Mets made the list.

Shortstop Andres Gimenez was the first Met on the list at No. 24. At only 20 years old, Gimenez has already reached Double-A. After playing well in Class-A St. Lucie to begin the 2018 season, he recovered from a slow start in Binghamton and finished the season strong. He is regarded as one of the best defensive shortstops in the minor leagues, and shows good speed on the base paths.

Between St. Lucie and Binghamton, Gimenez slashed .281/.347/.409 with 29 doubles, five triples, six home runs and 38 stolen bases.

Next up is first base prospect Peter Alonso at No. 34. Between Double-A and Triple-A, Alonso hit 36 homeruns, had 119 RBIs, and hosted in OPS just south of 1.000. Alonso has already been ranked as the top first best prospect in baseball by MLB Pipeline.  The 24-year-old will reportedly get a chance to win the Mets first base job out of Spring Training.

Further down the list at No. 89 is shortstop prospect Ronny Mauricio. Mauricio played in his first professional season in 2018, and held his own as a 17-year-old.  Between two levels of rookie ball (stateside with GCL and Kingsport Mets), Mauricio hit .273/.304/.410 with 16 doubles, three triples, three home runs. Mauricio was given a $2.1 million signing bonus in 2017, a Mets record at the time.

Third baseman Mark Vientos is the last Met on the list at No. 95. Vientos had a big year in the heart of the Kingsport lineup in 2018, leading the team in home  with 11 in 223 at-bats. The 19-year-old (18 for the entire 2018 season) hit .287/.389/.489 with 37 walks compared to 43 strikeouts. The former second round pick is the best third base prospect in the Mets system.
