Steve Adams of MLB Trade Rumors is reporting that Mets right-hander Rafael Montero is joining the Legacy Agency. This information was provided to him by Liz Mullen of the Sports Business Journal (subscription required), where it is noted that two Twins players, Oswaldo Arcia and Josmil Pinto, will join him in the move over. Montero is returning to Greg Genske’s Legacy Agency after a one-year departure.

It is worth noting that the Legacy Agency represents a few high profile MLB players such as CC Sabathia, Carl Crawford, Aaron Hill, and Edwin Jackson — but they also represent some prospects such as Taylor Guerrieri and our own Jenrry Mejia. MLB Trade Rumors notes that Montero was ranked as the #3 prospect in the Mets system by both Baseball America and Jonathan Mayo, trailing Noah Syndergaard and Travis d’Arnaud. Mayo also ranked him as #97 in his Top 100.
