According to Betsy Helfand of the Las Vegas Review Journal, T.J. Rivera has been activated from the seven day disabled list.

Rivera was on the disabled list since June 14th due to a pulled hamstring.  This season he is hitting .363/.402/.523 with seven homers and 52 RBI.  He was named the Pacific Coast League’s Player of the Month for the Month of May.  He is currently second among second basemen in the Pacific Coast League All Star Game voting.

To make room for Rivera on the roster, the Mets have released Daniel Muno.  The 2011 eighth round draft pick played 17 games for the Mets last year hitting .148/.258/.185.  Last September, he was removed from the 40 man roster so the Mets could make room for Eric Young, Jr.  This season he was hitting .239/.391/.318 as a utility infielder who mostly played third base.

In other minor league news, Columbia Fireflies reliever Christian Montgomery was put on the suspended list.  So far this year, Montgomery was 1-1 with a 3.34 ERA and a 1.58 WHIP in 19 relief appearance.  Montgomery was last put on the suspended list for 50 games in 2013 for testing positive for a drug of abuse for a second time.  As of right now, there is no reports why Montgomery was put on the suspended list this time.
