The Savannah Sand Gnats and the Greenville Drive played their final game of the series Saturday at Grayson Stadium. The game was suspended because of rain.

In the bottom of the 6th inning, with the score tied at 3-3, Sand Gnats catcher, Jeff Glenn, led off the inning with a double, when the rain came and the tarp was placed on the field.

Both starting pitchers struggled and Savannah’s John Michael Gant, gave up eight hits and three earned runs, while Greenville starter, Mario Alcantara, walked five batters and allowed three runs in just over three innings.

The game will be resumed Wednesday, May 14th prior to the regularly scheduled game at Grayson Stadium.
