Las Vegas 4, Oklahoma City 3

In an important game for the 51s to grab, Chris Schwinden provided a quality start with six innings pitched and three runs allowed. Las Vegas’ offense and bullpen did the rest for him. Sean Henn, John Church, Greg Burke, and Robert Carson all combined for three scoreless innings and four strikeouts to seal the game for the 51s, with Carson picking up the one-out save.

Kirk Nieuwenhuis, Eric Campbell, Matt den Dekker, and Brian Bixler drove in a run each for Vegas as they completed their comeback with two runs in the bottom of the sixth. Den Dekker had a nice game with two hits, including a double, and he also walked and scored a run. Den Dekker is slowly creeping his average towards .300 — it stands at .292 right now.

Some notable things: Travis d’Arnaud caught the entire game and went 1-for-2 with two walks and Lucas Duda started at first and went 1-for-4 with a run scored. John Church pitched a perfect inning with two strikeouts and has lowered his Triple-A ERA to 1.06. Wow.
