According to Adam Rubin of ESPN, the Mets could Tim Tebow to their Full Season A affiliate the Columbia Fireflies at some point during the 2017 season.  It should be noted that Rubin indicated Tebow will be there at some point, which presumably means Tebow will likely start the 2017 season with a lower-level affiliate owned and operated by the New York Mets like the Kingsport Mets or the Brooklyn Cyclones.

After not having played baseball since high school, the Mets signed Tebow to a $100,000 signing bonus and initially assigned him to the Instructional Leagues.

Somewhat controversially, Tebow was one of a few Mets players who were assigned to the Arizona Fall League this year.  Tebow has played in nine games for the Scorpions hitting .125/.176/.156 with two runs, one double, one RBI, and a stolen base in one attempt.

In a recent Mets Minors Roundtable, the general consensus among the writers was Tebow would go as far as St. Lucie in his minor league career.  If Tebow was to make it to Columbia during the 2017 season, he could conceivably play for St. Lucie during the 2018 in his age 30 season.
