Prospect Guru Jonathon Mayo killed some time to combine the Top 100 Prospect rankings from MLB Pipeline, Baseball Prospectus, Baseball America, ESPN (Keith Law) and FanGraphs, to create the ultimate composite Top 100 you’ve ever laid eyes on. Okay, maybe that’s a stretch, but it’s still pretty cool…

Cutting to the chase, the Mets ended up with six prospects in what ended up being a Top 135 after all five lists were combined. Representing the Mets were Noah Syndergaard (No. 14), Travis d’Arnaud (No. 33), Rafael Montero (No. 79), Dominic Smith (No. 81), Wilmer Flores (No. 111), and Brandon Nimmo (No. 123).

Not a bad showing for the Amazins’ however I would have loved to see Thor somewhere in the Top 10. Still, fourteen is close enough.

One of the biggest things to note is how highly regarded Smith is already after coming straight from the 2013 draft. He’s barely gotten his feet wet and yet almost all experts have seen enough of Smith to include him in such exclusive company.
