In a series of roster moves today, the New York Mets are activating 3B Todd Frazier from the 10 day disabled list, placing INF Phillip Evans on the 10 day disabled list, sending RHP Jacob Rhame to Triple-A Las Vegas, and are selecting the contract of RHP Bobby Wahl.

Wahl, 26, was one of the two players obtained from the Oakland Athletics in the Jeurys Familia trade.  Between his time with the Athletics Triple-A Pacific Coast League affiliate and Las Vegas, Wahl is 4-2 with 12 saves, a 2.20 ERA, 0.867 WHIP, and a 14.6 K/9.

Wahl made seven Major League appearances with the Athletics last season.  In those appearances, he was 0-0 with a 4.70 ERA, 1.565 WHIP, and a 9.4 K/9

To make room for Wahl on the 40 man roster, the Mets have designated OF Kevin Kaczmarski for assignment.

Kaczmarski, 26, was previously called up to the Mets, and he appeared in four games.  In those four games, he did not get a hit, drew a walk, and was thrown out attempting to steal a base in his five plate appearances.

In the minors, Kaczmarksi spent time with St. Lucie and Las Vegas.  In 50 games split between those teams, Kaczmarski hit .357/.421/.444 with seven doubles, two triples, and 19 RBI.  He also had four stolen bases in nine attempts.
