MLB announced that Mets Minor League infielder/outfielder Walter Rasquin, who is currently on the roster of Single-A Columbia Fireflies, has received a 50-game suspension without pay after testing positive for methamphetamine, a stimulant in violation of the Program.

Rasquin, 22, was recently put on the disabled list with a broken finger in his right hand. He’s hitting .298/.353/.468 with three doubles, triple, home run and three stolen bases in 13 games for Columbia.

The right-handed hitter broke the Brooklyn Cyclones for stolen bases with 32 during the 2017 season.

In 223 minor league games, Rasquin is a .301/.370/.400 hitter and was named a New York-Penn League mid-season All-Start last year.
