Former Met pitcher Jeremy Hefner has signed with the Gigantes del Cibao of the Dominican Winter League to pitch with them this season. He joins former Mets Philip Humber and Robert Carson on the team.

Mets minor leaguer Yeixon Ruiz was playing for the Dominican Republic in the WBSC Premier 12 Tournament but they were eliminated today after losing all five games they played.
