According to Statcast, Alonso’s line drive left his bat at an scalding 116.3 mph.

Peter Alonso is good at baseball. Need proof? Here’s a double off the wall

In the top of the second inning, after a lead-off double by Ronnie Dawson, Desmond Lindsay would drive one over the wall in left center field for a two RBI home run to give the Scorpions a 3-1 lead

The Rafters would come back in this one, tying the game up at 4-4 in the bottom of the fifth. In the top of the sixth though, Andres Gimenez would give the Scorpions the lead again with a bases loaded RBI walk to make the score 5-4. In the bottom half of the inning, Reds right hander, Wyatt Strahan, would get himself into some trouble by walking the bases loaded and allowing two runs to score on two run single by Pavin Smith. The Scorpions would call in Mets right hander Joe Zanghi to bail him out but it turned out to be Andres Gimenez who stopped the rally. After striking out the first batter he faced with runners on first and third, Zanghi allowed a line drive double to right center field that should have scored both inherited runners, but a perfect relay throw by Gimenez nailed Pavin Smith at home to limit the damage to just one more run.

With the team down 7-5 now, Peter Alonso would lead off the top of the seventh inning with another scalding line drive to left field, this time over the wall for a solo home run to cut the led to 7-6. Joe Zanghi would stay on for the bottom of the seventh but would continue to get knocked around allowing a solo home run to Jazz Chisholm and a two run home run to Carter Kieboom to put the Scorpions into a 10-6 hole.

The Scottsdale “Mets” would get those three runs right back the next inning. After a lead-off double and a HBP put runners on first and second, Andres Gimenez would drive them both in with a line drive two RBI triple to center field. The next batter, Ali Sanchez, would get his first base hit of the fall season, driving in Gimenez to pull the Scorpions back within one with the score at 10-9. Peter Alonso would keep the rally going with a single of his own, but the Scorpions comeback would end with back to back strikeouts by Darick Hall and Abraham Toro-Hernandez.

The loss drops the Scorpions season record to (7-6).

Yaquis de Obregon 1 – 0 Charros de Jalisco

Uriarte entered the game as a defensive replacement in the bottom of the ninth inning and would drive in the go ahead run in the top of the tenth inning. With runners on first and third with one out, Uriarte hit a slow roller to second base that the Aguilas failed to turn into a double play as Uriarte busted down the line. The fielder’s choice drove the run in from third giving him his first RBI of the LMP season and putting the Caneros on top 5-4. He would later score himself on an RBI single by Everth Cabrera.
