In 2010, the Mets selected Infielder Jet Butler of Mississippi State University in the 26th round of the Major League Draft, 782nd overall.

Jet played for two seasons in the Mets organization – with the Brooklyn Cyclones (A-) and Savannah Sand Gnats (A) in 2010 with the Savannah Sand Gnats in 2011.  He was released prior to spring training in 2012 on January 5th and continued to play Indy ball in the Frontier League, first with the Rockford Riverhawks in 2012 and with the Gateway Grizzlies in 2013.

In 2010, Jet played in 46 games between Brooklyn (6) and Savannah (40) and hit .222 with 3 HR and 16 RBI.  He had 153 AB with 18 Runs and 34 Hits, with 6 Doubles, 2 Stolen Bases and an OBP of .301.

In 2011, Jet appeared in 26 games for Savannah batting .205 with 1 HR and 5 RBI.  He had 83 AB with 6 Runs and 17 Hits.  He had 3 Doubles, 1 Triple, and had an OBP of .233.

He finished his career in the Mets organization playing 72 games, batting .216 with 4 HR and 21 RBI.  He had 236 AB, scored 24 runs, 51 hits, had 9 doubles, 1 triple, walked 15 times, and struck out 52 times with an OBP of .278.

As a Met, he played 23 games at 2B, 17 at 3B, 16 at 1B, 6 in LF, 2 at SS, and 2 in RF.

Once arriving in Indy ball, Jet played in 90 games for Rockford in 2012, batting .278 with 10 HR and 55 RBI.  This past season with Gateway, he played in 94 games, batting .261 with 14 HR and 51 RBI.

In two seasons in the Frontier League, Jet has played in 184 games, batting .270 with 24 HR and 106 RBI.  He had 705 AB, scoring 95 runs, and 190 hits.  He had 33 Doubles, 2 Triples, and 7 SB. He walked 59 times while striking out 132, posting a .328 OBP and a .424 OBP.

On September 18th, 2013 – Jet was released by the Gateway Grizzlies.
