Sandy Alderson spoke with ESPNNewYork.com and gave some more information about a tweet from Mike Puma of the NY Post that he wanted to remain with the Mets as GM for two or three more years.
“That was a guess on the part of the writer and the source,” Alderson told ESPNNewYork.com. “I haven’t talked to anybody about that.”
Alderson added, “Well, I have a contract that expires at the end of this year. My intentions might be irrelevant.”

Mike Puma of the NY Post, wrote on his Twitter page on Tuesday that GM Sandy Alderson wants to extend his time with Mets.
Spoke to a person who knows Sandy Alderson well, and his belief is Alderson wants to keep going as GM for 2 or 3 more years.
