Las Vegas 51’s catcher Kevin Plawecki and right handed pitcher Noah Syndergaard have been selected to represent Team USA in the Futures Game on Sunday, July 13 at Target Field in Minnesota.

Plawecki, who started out with Binghamton (AA) before being promoted to Vegas (AAA) is batting a combined .306, with 19 doubles, seven home runs and 50 RBI’s in 258 at bats, will be making his first appearance in the game.

Syndergaard, who started the 2013 game at Citi Field, has been struggling a bit this season, suffering from shoulder and elbow issues. But after finally dominating in Sunday’s 12-1 Vegas victory,  he earned the win tossing seven innings, allowing a run on six hits and struck out eight; he improved his record to 7-4,  and has a 5.31 ERA, with 82 strike outs in 79.2 innings.
