Lexington scored their lone run in the third inning.  Frank Schwindel drew a walk and scored after singles by Mauricio Ramos and Elier Hernandez.

Savannah would add a run in their half of the third, thanks to a double by Zapata and a RBI single by Rivero.  Another insurance run would come in the fourth inning, after Biondi reached on a bunt and eventually singled home by Champ Stuart.

Five Sand Gnats players had two hits each.  First baseman Matthew Oberste singled in the fifth inning which extended his hit streak to 18 games.
