Mets shortstop prospect Amed Rosario has injured his wrist during the preseason workouts for the Aguilas Cibaenas in the Dominican Winter League. He was on the disabled list earlier this season for the St. Lucie Mets with a wrist injury as well.
The injury is to his right wrist and currently has a wrap on it, it is not suspected to be a major injury. However, due to the DWL filling up with Major League players in November and the uncertainty of his return timetable he will not play for the Aguilas this season.
Tough break for Rosario who had two hits in each of his first two preseason games, including two off Jenrry Mejia. I had Rosario ranked 3rd in my midseason Mets top prospects and MLB Pipeline has him at #3 as well. He hit .257/.307/.335 for St. Lucie before being promoted in the last week to the Binghamton Mets.

Tough break. He should be among the minor league players who will get an invite to the major league camp.
Definitely a tough break, excited to see him and Cecchini get some time in spring next season. Hopefully Rosario in Binghamton too.
