Every year since 1960, Topps selects the top rookie performers to be a part of its MLB All-Star Rookie Team. The team was announced today which includes Mets starting pitcher Noah Syndergaard and outfielder Michael Conforto.

The Topps All-Star Rookie Team consists of one player at each position, right-handed pitcher, left-handed pitcher, reliever, and a designated hitter. You can see the whole team here.

Syndergaard was fantastic in his rookie season going 9-7 with a 3.24 ERA and 1.047 WHIP while leading all rookie pitchers with 166 strikeouts in 150 innings. He also had an incredible 5.35 SO/W which was the 7th best among all starters with at least 150 innings in the Major Leagues.

Syndergaard excelled in the playoffs too, picking up two wins and a shutdown relief appearance. He had a 3.32 ERA with 26 strikeouts in 19 playoff innings.

The Mets got everything they expected and more from Conforto who not only proved he was capable with the bat but played pretty good defense while showing off a strong arm (six outfield assists). Conforto slashed .270/.335/.506 with 14 doubles, seven homeruns. 26 RBI, and 30 runs.

Michael added three more homeruns in the playoffs including two in Game 4 of the World Series.
