Mets new left-handed pitcher Andrew Barbosa made his second start of winter ball season for the Indios de Mayaguez last night. He went 3.1 innings allowing one earned run on five hits and a walk while striking out six batters.
He made his first start on December 18th going three innings allowing no runs or hits but did walk three and struck out one. The Mets signed Barbosa last week and here you can read my profile on him.

- Johnny Monell – 0 for 3, walk for Criollos de Caguas (.273/.393/.436 with 20 walks compared to 18 strikeouts in 110 at bats).
T.J. Rivera followed up his big night Tuesday (two homeruns, five RBI) by going 2 for 5 with a double and two RBI last night for the Indios de Mayaguez in the Puerto Rican League. He started the game at second base and shifted over to third later in the game.
For the winter, Rivera is hitting .321/.391/.487 with three homeruns, four doubles, and 15 RBI. He has also walked more (9) times than he has struck out (7). Here is the video of his grand slam he hit on Tuesday.
