The Binghamton Mets announced on Tuesday the six names that will be considered for the team’s new nickname. The names were revealed on the field at NYSEG Stadium before the team took on the Altoona Curve, with the help of general manager Jim Weed, and six members of the team.
The names, which were submitted through an online contest, are the Bullheads, the Gobblers, the Rocking Horses, the Rumble Ponies, the Stud Muffins, and the Timber Jockeys.
Fans will be able to vote for their favorite name on the team’s website, from now until June 1, 2016. According to the website, the team is asking fans to chose the name that “embodies what Binghamton, NY is known for – what makes Binghamton different from any other city in the world.”
The team will continue to play as a Mets affiliate in 2017, but will be known by the winning name.

Stud muffins??
Who the hell thought up those names? They´re all horrible.
Very disappointing choices.
