It is roster crunch time in the minor leagues. Getting hot at this point of the season can mean getting a promotion and on the other side of the spectrum going cold at this point could mean packing your bags. A few of the names that stood out for performances recently are very familiar, as Rosario makes his latest push towards Binghamton.
Who’s Hot
Amed Rosario Over his last 10 games Rosario is hitting .349 with seven RBI, and doing so with a solid approach at the plate tallying four walks and only three strikeouts.
Brandon Nimmo Currently in the midst of a 12 game hitting streak, seven of which are multi-hit games. Nimmo has followed a solid May in which he slashed .326/.421/.565 with a June slash line of .467/.528/.844
John Mora In his last ten games, Mora has a .350 average and a .455 slugging percentage to go with four runs and a stolen base.
Chase Ingram Over his last two starts, Ingram has pitched 13.2 innings allowing only two runs on six hits while striking out 10.
Alex Palsha The Columbia reliever is quietly putting together a solid season. Over his last 10 games Palsha has pitched 13.1 innings with a 1-1 record and six saves, striking out 15 with only two walks.
Domingo Tapia Returning to the mound for the first time in 14 months, Tapia working as a reliever, worked out a bases loaded jam to help preserve the win for the high A team.

Who’s Not
Patrick Mazeika Since the calendar turned to June, Mazeika is hitting only .139 with five base hits for the Fireflies.
Michael Katz In his last 10 games for the St. Lucie Mets, Katz has a .179 batting average with just two walks, while being punched out 16 times.
Derrik Gibson In his last 10 games the veteran Gibson has hit an abysmal .154 with an OPS of .412.
Rafael Montero In his last two starts Montero has failed to get past the fourth inning in each, allowing 12 earned runs in a combined 7.2 innings. He did so allowing 17 base hits and walking five, raising his WHIP to 1.72 on the season
Mickey Jannis In his last two starts Jannis has allowed 12 hits and walked 11 in 11 innings. Surrendering eight runs in the process.
Jimmy Duff In his last four outings the St. Lucie reliever has gone five innings allowing six earned runs, raising his ERA to 6.91 on the season.

Great to see our top prospects producing and forcing the issue. While I don’t believe now is the right time to bring up Nimmo it really is difficult to ignore his nearly 1400 OPS during the last 10+ games. If he were a RH bat he may have gotten the call. Too many LH bats already in the OF.
