With Nimmo, Cecchini, Plawecki and Conforto that makes 4 #1’s at the AAA club. Don’t think I’ve ever seen that with any team. With Ruggs rehabbing in Vegas what is the message?
good young hard throwing pitchers are always a little wild when they start their careers but they eventually get it under control just ask Nolan Ryan or Wild Thing Vaughn
Well, Ryan never completely got it under control, but his wildness worked well for him. If Viall becomes 1/4 as good as Ryan was I’d be thrilled. I wasn’t saying that as a criticism by the way. I actually really like him as a prospect and loved the draft pick. He’s just going to be a work in progress
