As the Mets started making some of their September 1st call ups it sent a domino effect through the minor leagues today with a flurry of promotions.

First off, the moves that started every was the Mets promoting Michael Conforto, Ty Kelly, Kevin Plawecki and Gabriel Ynoa from the Las Vegas 51s before tonight’s game.

To help boost their roster the 51s have received RHP Tyler Herron, RHP Ricky Knapp and catcher Xorge Carrillo from the Binghamton Mets. Catcher Raywilly Gomez has been activated off the 7-day disabled list as well.

Knapp is returning to the 51s after going 0-1 with a 5.11 ERA in two starts for them earlier this season. Overall, he’s 13-6 with a 2.56 ERA and 1.127 WHIP this season.

Carrillo went 5 for 16 in eight games for Las Vegas back in 2014 and this will be his first time back since.

The B-Mets will get right-handed starting pitcher Joe Shaw from the Columbia Fireflies as they need some starters and don’t want to dip into the St. Lucie Mets roster with them in a playoff race.

Last night’s trade of Erik Manoah to the Angels for Fernando Salas left the Brooklyn Cyclones short on pitching so today they got righties Jordan Humphreys and Gregorix Estevez from the Kingsport Mets.

The Columbia Fireflies needed a starter as well and they get 19-year old Luis Silva from the GCL Mets, he actually started the season in the Dominican Summer League.
