The Rumble Ponies had a very good offense game, putting 23 men on base with 14 hits, 8 walks, and an error. Every player in the lineup got on base at least once and Tomas Nido (who was 1 for 4 with a sacrifice fly in the game) was the only player not to get on base at least twice.

Conlon pitched well for the first seven inning before running into trouble in the eighth. Entering the inning with a 7-3 lead and under 90 pitches, Conlon would allow hits to the first two runners. Burns replaced Conlon and ended up allowing seven runs to score (including the two runners inherited from Conlon). Reyes came in to pitch and gave up three runs, putting the game out of reach. After a great start to the season, Reyes has struggled recently, allowing at least one run in each of his last five appearances.

Cabrera made his second rehab appearance and is expected to rejoin the MLB team on Friday. Urena, who continues to have a great season, hit his second home run in the last two games, putting St. Lucie on the board with a solo home run in the sixth. Vinny Siena drove in two runs in the ninth inning with a double.

Crismatt was fantastic in this game, only needing 100 pitches to throw 7.2 shutout innings. After having a couple of poor starts in late April, Crismatt has pitched extremely well. Over his last eight starts, Crismatt has a 0.98 ERA in 55.1 innings pitched and has a 59:9 strikeout to walk ratio.

Both Brooklyn pitchers pitched very well in the game, working around six errors and only giving up one unearned run. McIlraith was making a rehab start after being on the disabled list since April 25.

The Mets had eight hits in the rain-shortened game, three of which went for extra bases, but could only score two runs. Espino, who is only 17-years old, has gotten off to a very hot start to the season and currently has an OPS over 1.000 through 12 games.

Moreno pitched well in the game, striking out eight batters, while only walking one, in 4.2 innings. Jimenez took the loss after allowing a seventh inning home run, the first run he’s given up this season.

Despite only having seven hits in the game, the Mets were able to score eleven runs in only five innings (the game was called in the top of the sixth because of rain). They were helped by four Brewers errors (six of their elevens runs were unearned) and also drew six walks in the game.

Taveras pitched the entire game, shutting the Brewers out into the sixth inning before the game was called. He struck out seven batters without walking anyone.
Conlon is not dominating but he’s pitching efficiently, I still think he will still be a 4-5 starter down the road. Thompson is officially out of the slump and back to hitting doubles and driving in runs. He’s also walking more, 22 BB this season compared to 29 BB all of last season. It’s an improvement for sure.
Crismatt is on fire. Hard to see him staying in St. Lucie much longer.
I’m not sure what you mean by pitching efficiently, but 5 earned runs doesn’t make me feel great about him. He’s done that in 4 of his last ten starts now and he’s moved farther away from the majors now than he appeared to be when the season started. There are probably 3, 4, maybe even 6 pitchers in the system right now (maybe more) who could very well pass him on the depth chart over the next year and make him an afterthought.
I agree with Jason! PJ is scrapping at AA when the truth of the matter is he should probably be at St. lucie. However, I do agree with you that 3 pitchers (maybe even a few more) will surpass him in a year or 2
I agree with you about Thompson. I worried about his power transitioning to the pros but was pleasantly surprised last year. I’m convinced he’s the truth now that he broke out of his early slump at AA.
