Mets pitchers have undergone their Spring Training physicals, and Anthony DiComo of MLB.com reports as a result of these physicals a couple of Mets minor league relievers are no longer in camp.
RHP Adonis Uceta was diagnosed with a left hamstring strain, and the pitcher has been re-assigned to minor league Spring Training for rehabilitation. With Uceta not being on the 40 man roster, his chances of making the team were remote. However, this is still a missed opportunity to impress Mickey Callaway and Dave Eiland.
LHP Matt Purke was diagnosed with the flu, and he has been sent home. Once Purke is determined to be healthy enough, he will be allowed back to the Majore Leauge portion of Spring Training. With respect to Purke, the earlier he can come back, the better. As of the moment, the Mets have just four left-handed pitchers in Spring Training, and as a result, he has a legitimate chance to make the Opening Day roster.
Please check back with MMN for further updates of these reliever’s medical status and for all other Spring Training news related to the Mets minor leaguers.

And Uceta attended the Mike Barwis camp last month.
Damn, you’re right.
