Transactions: Brentz Activated, den Dekker Assigned To Las Vegas

Betsy Helfand of the Las Vegas Review Journal reports the Las Vegas 51s have made a series of roster moves.

Jack Reinheimer and Matt den Dekker have been added to the roster. Reinheimer was a waiver claim from the Diamondbacks, and den Dekker accepted an assignment to Las Vegas after recently being designated for assignment by the Mets.

Bryce Brentz and Logan Taylor have been activated from the seven day disabled list.

Brentz has been out since fouling a ball off his foot and breaking a toe on May 8th. Brentz was initially expected to be out four to six weeks.

Taylor has been out since May 21st with what was described as a “flare up” in his pitching elbow.

While Brentz and Taylor are coming off the disabled list, Johnny Monell is heading to the disabled list himself.

Additionally, RHP Cody Martin has been placed in the temporary inactive list.

Finally, Levi Michael is being sent back down to Double-A. The 27 year old played in three games for Vegas hitting .333/.400/.334

Brentz (0-for-3, BB), den Dekker (1-for-5, HR), and Reinheimer (1-for-4) were in today’s starting lineup in Las Vegas’ 7-4 loss against the Oklahoma
