Three runs in the first inning was all the DSL Mets 2 team needed as they defeated the DSL Cubs in their season opener. Monday’s performance was highlighted by Dyron Campos who hit a 2-run homer in the first.

The DSL Mets 2 pitching staff had a nice season opener as it allowed just three hits in the seven-inning game. Righty Kevin Ribon earned the win as he didn’t allow any hits and struck out two batters in his two innings of play.

Syracuse, Binghamton, Brooklyn and St. Lucie did not play on Monday. The FCL Mets’ game against the FCL Cardinals was cancelled due to COVID-19.
