After picking up where they left off on Wednesday, the Mets couldn’t secure a comeback on Friday night as they fell 5-3 to the RailRiders. Wilfredo Tovar was the only Met to rack up multiple hits as he went 2-for-4 at the plate.
Mark Vientos also lit it up a bit with the stick as he hit a homer in the top of the fifth to start off Friday’s segment.

After Wednesday’s postponement, righty Zack Godley took over on the mound and pitched the remaining four innings. Godly allowed one run on four hits and struck out four batters.

- Khalil Lee, RF: 2-for-4, R, 3 RBI, SO, .272/.447/.500
A three-run homer from David Thompson in the fourth highlighted a 7-3 Syracuse win in Game 2 of Friday night’s doubleheader. Khalil Lee also put on a show with an RBI single in the fifth and a solo home run in the seventh.
Cheslor Cuthbert added to the fireworks as well with a solo bomb in the sixth. Martin Cervenka also aided the Mets offense as he went 2-for-3 on the night.

Starter Adam Oller earned his fourth win of the season as he allowed just one hit on the mound through five innings of work. Righty Bradley Roney closed out the game allowing a run but ultimately getting the final out to put the Mets back in the win column.
