Stephen Nogosek again remains the last reliever from the Addison Reed trade as he has returned to the New York Mets organization on a minor league deal. Nogosek, 27, made one appearance in the majors in 2021 allowing two earned in 3.0 innings.
He would spend most of his season with Triple-A Syracuse. In 27 appearances, he was 1-5 with a 5.14 ERA, six saves, a 1.457 WHIP, 4.1 BB/9, and a 13.4 K/9.
Baseball America reports the Mets have signed left-handed reliever Alex Claudio to a minor league deal. In 41 appearances for the Los Angeles Angels, Claudio was 1-2 with a 5.51 ERA, one save, a 1.592 WHIP, 4.1 BB/9, and an 8.3 K/9.

Former Mets pitcher Corey Oswalt has signed a minor league deal with the San Francisco Giants. Oswalt bounced between the majors and minors and starting and relieving the past four seasons.
In 2021, he made one Major League start and two relief appearances. He was 1-1 with a 3.48 ERA, 1.355 WHIP, 1.7 BB/9, and an 8.7 K/9.
Former Mets prospect Matt Pobereyko has signed a minor league deal with the Chicago White Sox organization. He last pitched in the Mets organization in 2018, and he spent the ensuing two plus seasons in the Independent Leagues before signing a minor league deal with the Miami Marlins.
Aroldys Vizcaino signed a minor league deal with the Kansas City Royals. Vizcaino made seven appearances for Triple-A Syracuse last season. He was 0-0 with a 2.35 ERA, 0.913 WHIP, 2.3 BB/9, and a 16.4 K/9.
In other news, Elian Soto, younger brother of Juan Soto, is now expected to sign a deal with the Washington Nationals organization. In international free agency, the Mets are expected to sign OF Jeffry Rosa and Simon Juan.
